Here’s a closer look at the people making it all happen…
1. Meet our Founder and CEO Mary Kathleen (M.K)
Tell us a little about yourself! I grew up in Southeastern PA, north of Philadelphia. My plan out of high school was to be an actress. I was very involved in theater in high school and at local theater companies as well as modeling – I was going to be a Broadway star!
What’s a fun fact about you or a hidden talent you have? Pretty good hair stylist and vocalist.
What’s your background? I grew up in the salon industry, and it was an amazing experience that made me a dynamic leader and professional. I started at a local salon as an assistant around 15 years old, and worked with a wonderful woman, and mentor Tina for many years. From assistant to manager, to opening multiple locations with her, all while working behind the chair. In the early 2000’s an opportunity to start working as an educator with a top brand, Nioxin Research Laboratories. It began as a contract gig, traveling to salons in PA giving product classes, and became a life changing opportunity. In my early 20’s I was hired to be a territory manager. I traveled, learned, was part of international teams that built entire brands. The experience propelled my career and gave me skills that allowed me to be successful at all my endeavors.
What do you love doing outside of work?
I love hiking, especially summiting mountain peaks! The challenge and beauty of the activity gives me peace and balance.
What’s your favorite part about working at EmpoweRx?
Watching the progress, and milestones, building a team. This is the hardest thing I have ever done, and everyone told me I couldn’t – so each day I wake up and take one more step toward innovating this antiquated industry. So, I am doing it!
Where do you see EmpoweRx in the future, as CEO of the company?
A top HR Tech company with innovative, intuitive, people centered solutions. Keep things simple and remain focused on the mission. One step at a time, ensuring we build for our customers, by truly listening to their needs, learning deeply about the operations and then seeing how we can improve their work life!

2. Meet our Director of Operations Conor
Tell us a little about yourself!
I was born outside Philadelphia but have lived all over the country; six different metro areas in four different states. I went to film school in LA. I have an interest in many different and varied fields, from data to creative writing.
What’s a fun fact about you or a hidden talent you have?
I was the captain of my high school hockey team.
What’s your background?
I went to Loyola Marymount University to study film and philosophy. Meanwhile, I cultivated skills in data, marketing, and operational management on my time.
What do you love doing outside of work?
Creative writing & film. Music. Philosophy.
What inspired you to join EmpoweRx?
I was there at the founding! I saw the vision and passion from the start and truly believe that EmpoweRx can shift the healthcare staffing landscape.
What’s your favorite part about working at EmpoweRx?
Our Market Analysis project; creating tools to remove the fog around the staffing labor market that’s been created by third party agencies.
Where do you see EmpoweRx in the future, and how do you hope to contribute to its growth?
A sizable part of a sustainable healthcare ecosystem. I hope my creativity and out-of-the-box thinking can provide new ways to revolutionize healthcare staffing.
What would it be if you had to describe the EmpoweRx mission and vision in your own words?
To provide a long-term solution to the healthcare staffing crisis.

4. Meet our Customer Success team leader Bridget
Tell us a little about yourself!
I was born and raised along the banks of the Willamette River in the Willamette Valley of the beautiful Pacific Northwest. An Oregonian to the core, I love this land, Jesus, and my family with all my heart. I have a deep appreciation for books and my own growing library tucked away in the backyard garden. There is a piece of me hidden amongst the pages.
What’s a fun fact about you or a hidden talent you have?
As much as I like to read, I also want to stay active. However, even with all the gardening, farming, hiking, and playing with the kids, none of it comes close to the recharge I get in worship.
A very close friend of mine told me my coolness factor went up 10x when she learned I could drive a stick! Apparently, this isn’t as common as it used to be.
What’s your background?
Associate’s Degree of Arts from CCC in Oregon. I have experience in many different fields, including volunteer work wherever and whenever I can. Whatever I’ve found myself doing, it always comes back to helping and guiding people; being a friendly face. That’s led me to be the perfect fit in customer service.
What do you love doing outside of work?
My real passion is working with and assisting people. I love seeing a dream come into fruition. I have no greater joy than to stand beside someone in prayer. If we can do these things in the garden on a walk or at the creek then even better. I really enjoy spending time with my family, our animals, and with our extended family and friends.
What inspired you to join EmpoweRx?
It has been an honor and joy of mine to stand beside MK in prayer and encouragement over the years as she pours her heart into her vision for EmpoweRx. It’s infectious and one I now share.
What’s your favorite part about working at EmpoweRx?
The big picture excites me most, get medical professionals in to the right zone for them to succeed at their work. Working beside MK ranks even higher. As a goal oriented, team player, I am equally excited to be a part of this growing company and am very much enjoying getting to know everyone MK has surrounded herself with to make this dream a reality.
Where do you see EmpoweRx in the future, and how do you hope to contribute to its growth?
I foresee EmpoweRx becoming the new standard for staffing. I hope to help build the foundation for top tier quality Customer Service that sets the bar for the industry.
What would it be if you had to describe the EmpoweRx mission and vision in your own words?
To equip medical professionals to have a more productive and enjoyable work environment, allowing the professional to perform their work at the best of their ability. Work that is the business of helping those in the direst of needs at times. EmpoweRx aims to reset the bar for healthcare staffing.
